A new report shows that many women — and LGBTQI+ people — in India are being abused, shamed, and silenced online through technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV). The abuses include non-consensual image sharing, stalking, doxxing and deepfakes, yet legal protections and tech-platform responses are often slow or ineffective.
