Michigan regulator orders 11 illegal online casinos to stop targeting residents

The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has issued cease-and-desist orders to 11 unauthorized online gambling operators targeting Michigan residents without proper licensing. The affected platforms include Club Player Casino, 7 Bets Casino, NinBet Casino, Cherry Jackpot Casino, PitBet, SlotsNBets, Bookmaker.eu, Wild Vegas Casino, VIP Slots Casino, Prism Casino, and ABC Islands Casino. These sites, some offshore and others of unknown or domestic origin, accept bets via credit cards, digital wallets, and cryptocurrencies, often leading to issues like withheld winnings and blocked withdrawals. The MGCB emphasizes that such unregulated operations lack oversight, data security, and consumer protections, posing significant risks to players. Each operator has been given 14 days to comply, with potential legal action in coordination with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office for non-compliance. Residents are urged to use only licensed gambling sites listed at Michigan.gov/MGCB.
